Annual Trail Fund Ride
Each year our chapter hosts the Grays Harbor Trail Fund Ride at Schafer Grade. This is our main fundraiser, with all proceeds supporting trail maintenance on the Olympic National Forest.
What to Expect
- Choice of shorter or longer trail rides
- Grand prize raffle
- Geocaching locations along the trail
- Food available on site
- Great company and beautiful scenery
The ride is typically held in early summer. Watch the calendar and our Facebook page for the exact date and details each year.

Trail Work Days
Throughout spring and summer, we organize work parties on the West Fork Humptulips Trail and Schafer Grade. These are great opportunities to learn trail maintenance skills and give back to our riding community. Check the calendar or come to a meeting for upcoming work days.
BCHW State Events
As a BCHW chapter, our members can participate in state-level events including:
- BCHW Rendezvous (annual state meeting)
- Regional trail projects and work parties
- Sawyer certification courses
- Packing clinics
- Leave No Trace trainings
