Our Trail Projects

Our chapter maintains trails in two main areas: the West Fork Humptulips Trail #806 in the Olympic National Forest — the only stock-accessible trail in the Pacific District South — and Schafer Grade on Green Diamond timberland west of Matlock.

Since 2008, we have maintained a Volunteer Agreement with the Olympic National Forest. In 2015, BCHW was awarded a $21,000 Recreational Trails Program grant for trail improvements.
